TATRO believes in building future contractors and engineers by offering summer internships that provide students with more than just a way to satisfy course requirements but gives each one a chance to learn more about their field of expertise while working in an environment that fosters creativity.  These skills, along with the leadership and individual management of students is what brings some interns back for repeat internships.

This year’s interns include:

  • Juan Anguiano is a senior at Fort Hays State University. He will graduate in May 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Design.
  • Erick Carranza is a senior at The University of Kansas. He will graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in May 2020.
  • Mike Kreutzer is a senior at Fort Hays State University. He will graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management in May of 2020.
  • Ryan Laydon is a senior at Colorado State University in Pueblo, CO, majoring in Mechatronics. Ryan will graduate with his Bachelor’s Degree in May of 2020.

“TATRO is really proud of the work we are doing with local universities to raise awareness of the advancements in construction management, engineering and other areas of focus that demonstrate how today’s modern plumbing contractors are more than what people think of when talking about plumbing,” said Justin Sanchez, president of TATRO. “With this year’s crop of talented interns, they have had a chance to really use their hands and their heads with projects that include our Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs, problem solving for new projects and really working closely with senior management at TATRO. We’d like to congratulate this year’s interns on a great summer!”

TATRO’s goal is to continue training a new generation of plumbing and HVAC contractors that can improve the industry by implementing advanced training and practices by partnering with colleges and universities across Colorado and Kansas. This year’s interns have enjoyed the corporate culture, the learning environment and seeing how they can use their knowledge in their careers of choice.
